Remote Mining Asset: claims and evidence dataset

A structured dataset of the published claims, assumptions and evidence behind the Remote Mining Asset screen, including unresolved source gaps.

Purpose

Headline figures from a mine hybrid-energy screen are often repeated without their assumptions. This dataset keeps each figure attached to its claim type, confidence, method and evidence, so a reader can distinguish a figure reported in the environmental impact statement, a modelled result and an analyst assumption.

Coverage and variables

  • Entity: project_remote_mining_asset — Remote Mining Asset hybrid-energy screen, Northern Territory, Australia
  • Source period: public sources from May 2021 (draft EIS); analysis June–July 2026
  • Variables: indicative annual demand, indicative peak load, diesel fuel use, disclosed PV and BESS capacity, assumed solar yield, and scenario-level financeability outputs (TIC, CFADS, indicative debt capacity, modelled residual / buy-out, indicative owner outcome)

Method

Claims are typed and confidence-rated under the F1–F4 Pre-DD screening framework. Definitions of every claim type, the confidence scale and what requires owner confirmation are on the methodology page.

Known limitations

  • Load and energy figures derive from a 2021 draft EIS whose text contains an apparent unit inconsistency (stated “30 MWh per year”; cross-checked to about 30 GWh per year) — see claim RMA-LOAD-001;
  • PV/BESS disclosure evidence is marked unresolved until the primary document URL is captured;
  • all financeability figures are screening-model outputs under unverified timing, pricing, financing and contract assumptions;
  • siting areas are desktop search areas requiring owner confirmation;
  • the dataset covers one project only: it is a first example of the registry structure, not a facility database;

Update cadence. Updated when the underlying screen is revised or a source is resolved; each claim and evidence object carries its own last_verified / accessed_at date, and the registry carries a version.

Licence. Free to access and cite with attribution to Heliovulcan (heliovulcan.com.au), for information purposes. Limitations. The dataset is an independent screen built from public information. It is not owner-verified data, and it is not legal, financial, engineering, investment or lender due-diligence advice. Do not present modelled screening outputs as transaction values or verified project economics.
